Battle for Azeroth is Mists of Pandaria with a different paintjob, the facts.

doodlingadventures:

“Come on, you’re exagerating. BfA and MoP don’t have thaaat many things in common“

I’m upset. Maybe I’ll rewrite this later to sound less bitter, but I’m just so pissed right now I’m gonna post this without further commentary. I’m not even oing to use a read more. Fuck everything

The expansion follows a theme of faction war right after an expansion revolving around saving the world from destruction (and I mean the planet being torn appart) where Horde and Alliance purposely joined forces to avoid that? After being guided by a kind of neutral guy at least 70% of the exp?

image

The expansion kickstarts by the Horde attacking an Alliance major city, led by a warchief that  justifies this attack by quoting a smaller, previous one by the Alliance. The troops are told that the intent is to hold control over the city/territory, only to have that place destroyed in a “”””””plot twist”””” (in the sense that we, the audience, knew it was gonna happen, but most of the characters didn’t).

image

The have a right hand man that, although sometimes questions their actions, will never disobey/leave their side. There may be romantinc feelings involved

image

One of the Leaders of a different race does not agree with their tactics, reaching a point where they loose their hope in the Horde because of this, only to be reminded later that the Horde is much more than what the current warchief’s attitude reflects. And apparently is keen on “starting a rebellion”.

image

The Horde and Alliance are playing ping-pong with an ancient artifact of untold power. Someone will probably get crushed.

image

There’s a Tiger God that speaks about honor, strength, courage, being worthy, and has a deep boomign voice (this one is mostly a joke. But Xuen and Kimbul really are the same character with different colors, so far they’ve been written)

image

And, seeing as Blizzard keeps saying “no!, you see, there’s more to that than what you think” and then giving exactly what we tought from the begining, let’s take a look at the future possibilities of this exp! Since they take us for idiots apparently, I guess none of this will happen right?

Like, an island hidden in the sea by powerful ancient magics, full of ancient bad guys, that will be the place were we fight a “faction neutral” enemy?

image

The enemy we fought at the very beginning coming back to bite us in the ass? With a twist.

image

Alliance and Horde having to collaborate to take down a mightier enemy? During the Siege of a mayor faction city ( if Sylvanas takes control of Stormwind, and we have to fight her to free it, it’s not the same as sieging Orgrimmar you knowwww?)

image

Will we even have another rebellion patch, lead by this character we spoke before? Because maybe Blizzard probably believes that not doing this, will make the exp completely different from Mists (HA)

I don’t know. They can say Battle for Azeroth will not be another MoP as much as they want, but the facts are, it already is a carbon copy of Pandaria.
