Really? Does that seem at all appropriate?

First, Christie Golden has written most of the best parts of WoW for the last several years. The novels no longer read like shitty DnD Fanfic because of Christie Golden and you can tell that a lot of lore decisions were foist upon her. Yet here you are wishing her ill because she has been given a job to do.

Second, you people need to remember that these older games are rarely what we make them out to be. FF7 is often lauded as one of the greatest JRPGs to ever make it to the west — it’s story is a poorly translated, often ridiculous mess. Warcraft 3 is well loved but Blizzard Strategy games… really aren’t particularly strong.

Third, what do you think they’re going to change? They might make mention of Lady Katherine Proudmoore in some Jaina tied chapters, maybe make her a little more self motivated and a little less Arthas’s-Ex following Medivh’s Prophecy. Sylvanas wouldn’t need much in the way of changes and is more likely just to be shown as a little more selfish before her death.

So maybe pump the breaks on your hate train a little

This. No one’s fucking perfect, but that one post throwing ALL TEH -ISMS at Golden just smacks of someone who can’t handle imperfection and the fact the woman writes what Blizzard tells her to. That’s the kind of person who will shit on a rather progressive show/book/film/game because it doesn’t meet THEIR arbitrary rules on what’s perfect.

I never played Warcraft 3. I have a thing against old ass graphics. Besides, I’m pretty sure Chronicles already retconned a lot, so…either get with it, or just fucking leave.

I have the same thoughts regarding some if SWTOR’s story choices as well. But anywho.

Attacking a writer who’s only doing what they are told to do (unlike JKR who is destroying her OWN universe. Though attacking her is also poor and shitty too), just smacks of immature assholes with an entitlement complex.

That and Golden is 10x the writer that Knaak is. I can at least stay interested with Golden where as Knaak makes me fall asleep.
