the mag’har orc recruitment scenario, which I can’t yell about properly without spoilers, but which absolutely ruins Yrel and arguably the draenei themselves, in order to make AU draenor orcs into victims, is the worst thing I’ve ever seen in this entire game

i literally do not have words for how angry this makes me. this is every “well, really, when you think about it, the draenei were the REAL villains” hot take made manifest.

gThis is exactly like saying something along the lines of “If the jews had the power, they would have wiped out the Germans first” which is a rhetoric used to justify genocide throughout history. Hitler said it about the jews and more recently, look at Rwanda.

This is disgusting and irresponsible writing and I genuinely hope this is false text. Even if it isn’t, to allow something this heinous to go public is absolutely revolting. If this stays, I don’t know if I can continue to support this game or this brand of destructive storytelling any longer. I had hoped having Christie Golden in the writing department would prevent things like this, but now I’m not so confident.

The message this sends mirrors genocidal propaganda so closely I think I”m going to be sick.
