One may think something so straightforward and understated wouldn’t hold a young child’s attention, but to this day I can’t pick up a crayon without thinking about the times children’s programming (like this bit from Mister Rogers and the one from Sesame Street) showed me the inner workings of the crayon factory.

It’s so surreal that I distinctly remember watching this episode as a kid and being absolutely enthralled by the process. Also, the world needs a Mr. Roger’s OST collection.
