if amedot isn’t going to be a thing at all then seriously what was the point of too far. this is a genuine question. why show them in a romantic light and introduce anime tropes where the protagonist falls on their love interest. why air the answer straight after which almost directly parallels what happened in too far. why did lauren have to get help from other members because the episode had a lot of heart in it. why air the episode at comic con. why did professional reviewers who know what good writing entails comment on the fact that peridot and amethyst may become romantically involved because of this episode (some even went as far to say the words ‘love interest’). why? we all know very damn well that if they didn’t make this episode the way they did, next to none of us would be shipping amedot. so… why?
