Special Reminder: Don’t take the day off for the moment Demon Hunters come out. Don’t take the day off for the Legion launch later this month. Might sound like a great idea at the time but if you get all hyped up for playing the MOMENT things get released you will likely be met with agonizing disappointment when the servers break and you’re stuck on the menu screen for hours and hours.
As someone who’s seen nearly every xpac launch do NOT EXPECT to play the first day without any problems. Do not expect to not have connection issues.
Also special for this year: Do not expect that blizz won’t get ddosed the day they release something. And none of that “well blizz has enough money they should be able to stop that” my boi the same people that took blizz offline took pornhub offline, took PSN offline, and took GTA offline. They let people recommend things to take offline and did it without a problem. BE READY FOR IT TO HAPPEN.
If you understand this and wanna play anyway, feel free. I’ll be right there with you through all the bad connections and bottlenecks. I’m just saying that you shouldn’t put off important stuff like school or work just to find your day off wasted when you can’t log on.
Never forget the Diablo III launch…
