No one has every been killed by a ball python, unless maybe you
count salmonella cases, but even then I’ve never heard of a salmonella
death being attributed directly to a ball python. In the US, there has
been a handful of large python-related deaths over the last 30 years. No
boa constrictor or ball python is listed in those cases.

suppose it is physically possible for a ball python to kill a baby, if
it was left unattended with an infant, and the baby smelled like mice…The thing is, pythons never try to kill with constriction if they are
not biting at the same time. When you see in the movie “anaconda” the
snake coils, constricts and THEN bites the human, that is completely
inaccurate. Boas and pythons bite first, and then coil around the prey
in order to kill and eat it. When you are holding a ball python and it
begins to squeeze, that is not the snake’s attempt to kill and eat you.
The snake just doesn’t want to fall so it is anchoring itself to your
hand/arm/leg/neck as if your limb is a tree branch.”
