i’ve managed to successfully scavenge 2 large corkboards from teachers who are leaving so hooraahh! i can take those off of my wishlist
btw if anyone out there is gonna be a teacher one day that’s the biggest piece of advice i can give you: become an expert scavenger. just walk around the school towards the beginning/end of the year and if you see something you want that’s just kind of sitting there looking unused ask “hey you want that? or can i have it? i need it.” and 9 times out of 10 it’s automatically YOURS FOR KEEPSIES. alternatively if you see something sitting around looking VERY unused in say a hallway or basement or storage closet it is very automatically YOURS so long as you NEVER EVER tell anyone where you got it from. and if anyone comes looking for it just go “i’unno it was in my room when i moved in here.” IGNORANCE = OWNERSHIP
there are no laws of possession in the teaching world. it’s the wild west out here. we just share our possessions like some filthy educators commune.
