There’s one big problem with the new $20 bill
When news broke Wednesday that Tubman would be featured on the new $20, it was cause for celebration. But now upon closer inspection of the Treasury Department’s plan (particularly what they’re doing with Andrew Jackson), many are expressing criticism. Some are even calling it a “backhanded compliment” and “despicable.”
I fucking knew it! I knew it wasn’t the whole truth. Fucking hell! Can’t this goddamned country give me and my nerves a fucking break and be cool for ONCE in its goddamn 400 year history of fuckery!??? FUCK.
I actually kind of like it. The knowledge that Andrew Jackson would be rolling in his grave to know that he’s not only sharing a bill with a black woman, but also been moved to the BACK of said bill in favor of said black woman.
It’s the perfect way to spit on his grave and I’m all for it.
